Adam has been helping my son for the last year. We’ve wanted some extra support with his Maths and English. I researched a few tutors but decided to go with Adam as he was highly recommend and excellent reviews. Adam has been amazing with him , tailors work to his needs, helps in all areas he is struggling with as well as follows the schools curriculum. My son has just started Secondary School and is in top sets for all core subjects. We are extremely grateful to have a tutor like Adam and would highly recommend.

We have found Gloucester primary tutors brilliant. Adam was really good at putting both our children at ease, finding a learning style that suited them and making the weekly sessions enjoyable. They also offer 3 opportunities to do a mock 11+ through the year and I think this really helped both our children’s confidence. Would definitely recommend.

Our daughter has been having lessons with Adam for just over a year now and it has been great to see her confidence in Maths grow. She has always found maths tricky and Adam has been excellent in re-establishing some basics and bringing simple techniques to help get the right answers. Highly recommended!

Adam tutored my son during Year 5 in preparation for the 11+ exam. He was very knowledgable, always professional and the communication was great throughout. Most importantly my son, who often struggles with social anxiety, actually really enjoyed the sessions. There was a great rapport built between them and my son felt that Adam was often able to explain things in a way that just made them easier to understand.
I would also recommend the mock exams, as they really helped to prepare for the real thing, with results and helpful feedback returned quickly.
Ultimately my son has qualified for four grammar schools and is super happy with his achievement. A big thank you to everyone at Gloucestershire Primary Tutors!

I can not recommend Adam enough! He tutored my son for the 11+ and my son can sometimes be quite anxious, but Adam made him feel at ease straight from the start. Adam has a very calm demeanour and is always very encouraging and is always good with his explanations of the work. I would highly recommend the mock exams on offer as they provide an excellent real time exam scenario.

Adam was a brilliant tutor and ultimately helped my son qualify for 2 brilliant grammar schools. But that aside what made Adam great was his ability to make the sessions enjoyable for my son, he always looked forward to tutoring with Adam! Adam took time at the start of each session to chat about football and how my son’s week had been to check in that he was doing ok. It was lovely to hear my son chat away with Adam as he is not always that confident with adults, I could tell he was at complete ease. As a parent I was impressed with the communication overall with primary academy tutor. They organised mock exams and provided lots of supporting practice papers to do between tutoring sessions which was all so important in getting my son as prepared as he could. Would highly recommend them and will be using them again for my younger son!

Absolutely fantastic experience with Adam. His engagement and empathy with our daughter as she prepared for the 11+ exam was I believe key to her achieving a positive outcome. All sessions with Adam were online and my daughter genuinely looked forward to them, that in itself is testament to great tuition being delivered in an empathetic and professional manner. I would totally and without reservation recommend 🙂

Adam, has tutored 2 of our grandchildren. He has an excellent teaching style that both the boys really enjoyed. he makes the sessions engaging and interesting and varies the sessions. Both of the boys enjoyed the sessions with Adam and have benefitted from them.

Punctual, highly effective communication about session, holidays, and performance and engagement in each session / chat was covered. Great rapport with our daughter and us as parents. Polite, caring, sensitive to daughter's anxieties and very supportive. She has made progress with anxiety and attainment and this is evident at school as well as at home. Highly recommend!

We used Adam to help with 11+ prep, he was great with our daughter, very friendly, patient and supportive. He helped us understand the process and helped her to feel much more relaxed and prepared for the test. She has passed her 11+ and we are very thankful to Adam for all his help. Our eldest son has been having maths tuition with Adam since September 2021 following a recommendation from a friend and we are really pleased with his progress. He was quite behind going into Y7 but, thanks to the 1:1 focus on his maths skills during weekly sessions with Adam, has managed to catch up. He finds the sessions engaging and is now much more confident with maths.

Adam has been a fantastic help for my daughter who really, really struggled with Maths.

We booked Adam to help our daughter, Megan who had decided quite late on, to attempt the 11+ Grammar school entrance exam. Adam was able to quickly assess what Megan needed and provide excellent guidance to us parents of how to be assist Megan. Adam has a wealth of knowledge an experience in preparing children for the 11+ exam. The key to helping Megan was building her confidence and showing her that the exam wasn't as scary as she thought it would be. The sessions with Adam and the guidance he gave us parent provided Megan with what she needed to pass the exam.

My son had 7 months of tutoring with Adam for his 11plus and he was successful in achieving a qualifying standard for the schools he was interested in. Adam was very patient with my son and interacted with him in a way that engaged him and made him feel excited to come to sessions. He was actually quite sad after the test as he knew he wouldn't be having any more sessions and he said he wished he could carry on!

After a problem with a tutor my son had, I found Adam, he tutored my son for the 11+ over the summer. My son qualified for all the schools within the top 150 and I genuinely feel this only happed due to Adams help. He taught my son alot, encouraged him and made the sessions fun.
Adam is professional, punctual and has great communication continually throughout his time working with my son.

Mr.Rush is an excellent tutor and we are glad we signed up with him. His teaching method is consistent and clear and our DS enjoyed working with him. Our son cleared 11+ and has made it into school of his choice. We would highly recommend Mr.Rush for general tutoring and particularly for 11+.

I can't recommend Adam enough, who provided excellent support for my son, just as he was preparing for his 11 plus test, from the first session I could see an improvement in his level of confidence. Adam is extremely patient tutor and made the lessons fun yet challenging. I have never seen my son so excited to learn. From the bottom of my heart, i can't emphasise enough the positive effect Adam had on my son, who went on to achieve incredible results and now was offered a place at the Crypt School !! We all found Adam to be very professional and calm when tutoring our son for his 11 plus.
He always looked forward to lessons with Adam it was never a chore plus with the option of being able to do lessons via Skype it also enabled us to continue with the lessons in these unprecedented time's.

We've met Adam in August 2019 when we've approached him to request some tutoring support for my son wanting to sit the 11+ exam. We've been impressed how proffessional,open and friendly Adam is.My son had seen him almost every week at our house which was very convenient for us as parents and I think extremely beneficial for my son being in his own environment while doing extra work.
The amount of progress my son had done in the past year had been tremendous. He is much more confident now in areas which weren't his strongest.

Mrs S.A.Mr Rush is very professional in his approach. He takes the time to understand the child’s strengths and weakness and modifies his lesson plan accordingly. He is very punctual and reliable and keeps you updated of the child’s progress. He uses a wide range of materials to help the child gain exposure to challenging questions. He is very patient and encourages the child to achieve their true potential. Mr Rush is able to engage the children with humorous quotes and makes the lessons interesting. He is an excellent role model for the children and our son is a huge fan of him. We are very grateful for Mr Rush for all the help and support he offered our son and highly recommend him.

ZoeI was so lucky to find Adam on a google search for home tutoring when my daughter needed extra help for her 11+ exam prep. Adam's patience and perseverance paid off with Phoebe's least favourite subject when last week she got 100% in a maths test at school! Her competence in English has improved too. And most importantly this increase in academic ability has given Phoebe more confidence at school. She is proud of her achievements. And whatever the result of the 11+ test, Phoebe is better equipped for the pressures of high school. Thanks millions to Adam 🙂
