About Gloucestershire Primary Tutors
Gloucestershire Primary Tutors is owned and operated by myself, Adam Rush, a fully qualified and very experienced Primary School Teacher with over 16 years of teaching experience in primary schools within Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire and Wiltshire in both the maintained and independent sector.
I have taught across all age groups in both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 and have held a number of posts of responsibility, including leading a small team in preparation for the Key Stage 2 SATs. I have been through a number of school inspections, including by Ofsted, and my teaching has always been deemed to be very well organised, extremely effective at helping to raise attainment and the positive relationship that I develop with my class has also been commented upon.
I started tutoring over 10 years ago, and could immediately see how a personalised learning experience benefitted the academic progress and confidence of a child, many of whom could find themselves a little ‘side-lined’ in a class of often over 30 other children. I also found that I thoroughly enjoyed the experience of teaching children on a 1-2-1 basis, and continue to take enormous pleasure in hearing about how a one hour weekly session with myself has made such a positive impact upon a child’s progress in school.
I very much look forward to hearing from you and discussing how I can help your child make accelerated progress across the primary school curriculum.

“Adam has tutored my eleven-year-old son for over 3 years now. My son has additional needs and Adam has been a terrific teacher, offering guidance and assistance just at the right times. John has made good progress, and this is largely due to Adam utilising John’s specific interests to motivate him. Adam is a very experienced teacher who is kind, patient and understanding, which has also been invaluable. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for a tutor.”
